Poor Pat, poor, poor, Pat.He went for a teeth cleaning today and was told he has 2 exposed taste buds.This means a Drs appointment to get an appointment to see a specialist who may do a biopsy. Honestly, how much more can go wrong with him? CD is only one of many major ailments he has. He is pretty down right now and is asleep with a headache. We had plans to see a movie after the dentist, a rare thing for us, but here we are at home.I made a post hoping to get any information as I found nothing on google. I think I amin shock, how do they become exposed and why??? Oh, we have no dental coverage either!

Wendy, neither of you need any more issues! I have never heard of this before. There are SOOOO many symptoms with CD, so many people that if they know anything about Crohn\'s, its just some thing wrong in your gut. Most people have no idea. As always, you are both in my prayers.
Is it by prescription?
Hey, there. Sorry you are going through so much. I\'ve never heard of exposed taste buds. I have nerves showing around my gums from brushing my teeth too hard. Where are the taste buds at?

Taste buds are on the tongue and I can\'t find any information on exposed ones.
Ya it sure put a damper on our day but we went to the later show and saw Julie and Julia, really enjoyed it. Honestly Amy I don\'t know how he copes so well. Thanks for the nice words! Hope your infection has cleared up, he is on antibiotics again as he still can\'t hear due to fluid build up!!!
