August 31, 2015 End of Month Review

It's the end of another month.  I have gotten plenty of things done, but not a lot of my "projects" have gotten done.  I am a bit of a perfectionist, and expect myself to be able to handle everything.  Why I do not know. Somehow I have come to the conclusion that I am able to handle all of the situations around here all by myself, but that is simply not true.  All of my side projects make me feel overwhelmed.  It's enough to do in a day to help Mom and Papi with their hygiene, dressing going to the bathroom and changing, laundry, cooking, cleaning (actually mainly straitening up and keeping things sort of orderly).  Add on bills, going for Doctor visits and therapy visits, and it gets to be enough.  That's all the things I do before I start  to include anything for my own fulfillment.
What do I want to do for my own fulfillment?  My nourishment, baths, sleeping enough, praying, engaging in my studies and self improvement activities and talking to my friends.    I also want to be able to go to Services at the Synagogue, and Hebrew classes, and work on my studies for conversion.  I also have my own doctor, dentist and counselor appointments.
Now let's talk about the projects:  things that I want to have happen that are not getting done:  Filling the bird feeders, moving the white shelf, re-arranging the art shelf, building a bookshelf behind the door, Getting the car in for maintenance and repair of the scratches on it, getting the carpet cleaned (again).  Cleaning out the Christmas closet.  Putting my pictures up in my room and putting up Mom's pictures in her room.  Getting the garage fixed up and the car back in there for the winter.  Getting all the papers in order.  Taking Mom and Dad to a lawyer to get all of their papers in order.  Re-framing two of Mom's pictures.
I am only me, and there is never enough time in the day for projects anymore.
I can maybe get the handyman to help with some of the work, the cleaning lady to help too.  Even an accountant to help with the papers.  It is just a matter to find the right person to help with the right job.

There just aren't enough hours in my day, it seems.  I feel overloaded and frustrated.

You do so much. We all need time by ourselves, for ourselves. Try alittle everyday.
