August 24, 2010 Uncle Dick had a heart attack on 8/12/10.

Hi All,  I forgot to mention but my uncle had a heart attack last Thursday while I was off on vac.  My god mother told me.   Dad sent a message to everyone that had emails.  I haven't heard about him in a few days.  I may have to give my parents a call to see whats going on.  He was rushed by ambulance to our catholic hospital cardiac care unit.   They decided to do a triple bypass on him.   The issue is that he has done way too much since my Aunt Joni died last October (she is the one who passed away in last october with renal/kidney failure due to diabetes - just before I was diagnosed with breast cancer and PKD).  He has been busy everyday during the week, whether it was golf, his grandson, his kids, friends, my father gets him out  (Aunt Joni and my father were brother sister).  It helps my father to get out with my uncle too, they sort of lean on eachother.   Hopefully he will finally slow down.  Now that he is a widow, I wonder if he is taking care of himself, eating properly.   When I spoke to my godmother (Aunt Bunny - she is dads only living sister), I explained that everyone needs to go to their docs and get a physical and full blood work (everything - right down to the kidney and heart).  Especially in light of my health problems and now Uncle Dick having a heart attack.  Just a bad year for Dad's side of the family all together.  They all need to take special care of themselves.  I know a few family members who don't go to the docs at all to get checked out and thats dangerous.  Uncle Dick was one of them, look where it got him.    I think, since this happened on Thurs - he might be in a rehab center.  Don't know where but I will find out tonight.    I will let you know.
