At last the phone call ive been waiting for!!!
just had a phone call from my nurse at the hospital. jokey hello!!!....lol sondra said that you said hi so im just saying a big hello back. she has just told me that my levels are still not down to what they want them to be so they have decided instead of giving me more tablets is to give me an injection. jokey she asked me to ask you about this one as aparently its the same as what you have. for the life of me i can not remember what it is called. if you could let me know how it is every month i would be very grateful. but atlast after months of waiting i finally have an answer!! so i have to keep taking my cabergoline tablets untill i get a letter from the hospital to say that the injection is ready. then i have to wait for my doctor to ring me and let me know that my injection is ready there. ooooooo i hope its not in the arm.....do they stick the injection in your bum???? oh crikey im scared of needles real bad i think i better get used to them and quick. well they said it will take a couple of weeks to sort out. so sondra said that i can enjoy my wedding and honeymoon without thinking of all of this medical stuff. now i cant wait to get my injection a bit worried about side affects yes but if it brings my levels down i will be so grateful.

Cool Cat gave me some links for videos and they showed an injection that looked like it was in the abdomen the way that diabetics give themselves shots, but it was hard to tell. They have some really skinny needles available now so maybe you won\'t feel much at all. I hope not. It seems like a way to get a lot of relief from all the acromegaly agony. Good luck with it. Rose
I gave myself insulin twice a day during my pregnancy. The hardest part was drawing up the meds (it was a different amount of two different insulins twice a day) so I made a cheat sheet. Then the doctor would change the dose! The pricking the finger three times a day was more painful then the shots...the needles are small gauge and I would do, an arm, thigh, or stomach. The stomach was kinda weird because I was pregnant but you get over it quickly and do what is needed. The injections in the muscle shouldn\'t be bad (they call them IM) unless the medicine itself burns or something...but it won\'t because it is a good shot! I\'m probably gonna have to do the same stuff so let me know chicky! XXXOOO
I am not a fan of needles but its in the bum just dont look lol.Its not bad at all but the symptoms were sickness at first I was bad but none at all now and I am so much better its worth it believe me you can only just give it a go.Jokeyx
it hurts like hell run away now dont do it lol nah it doesnt hurt sis im being evil im on octreiotide once a month i was originaly on lanriotide just dont look at the needle thing happy thoughts go to a happy place
