At a stand still.
Well, it's been over a month since my last entry...again. We have yet to do anything infertility related since July. I just don't understand how people can afford this.
Last week I woke up with excrutiating back pain. (I've had back pain since my early 20s, but always toughed it out. This however was different.) I went to work, but spent the majority of the day sitting in my chair. This is the complete opposite of a normal work day for me. I coach middle school volleyball. As my husband put it, "I was showing off too much at practice the night before." I'm afraid he might be right. My wonderful co-workers made me an appointment and even offered to take me to the chiropractor after school. My appointment went well, very little popping, but a little less pain.
When I told my mom about my visit, she asked if I had told him about my fertility issues. No. I didn't see any reason to share that info. She told me that she heard of some possible links between infertilty and back problems.
Of course, I immediately googled it. I found some information that may or may not support the idea. It didn't seem like there was a lot of research in the area, but I found it to be interesting.
Today I got the report of the findings of my first visit. The majority of my pain is in the very lower part of my back. (lumbar spine-vertebrae 5) This is a piece of the article I found when I got home. Interesting.
If the organs supplied by these nerves are affected, the possible results include, constipation, diarrhea, cramps, varicose veins, bladder problems, menstrual problems, infertility problems, bed wetting, urination problems, and poor circulation, among others.
At least my insurance pays for visit to the chiropractor.
