Classes are available from beginner to advanced levels where you can learn how to paint in a variety of mediums and with practical exercises to develop observational skills and paint handling techniques. Classes include Oil Painting, Acrylics, Painting for Beginners, Drawing and Painting, Watercolours, Chinese Brush Painting, Hand Lettering, Botanical Art and Abstract Art. Each child will have a blast creating their very own masterpiece that they can take home at the end of the party. Holiday classes are perfect for families who haven’t joined us before and would like to try a session before committing to a full term.

As a minimum, beginning oil painting students may spend about $30 for a canvas board (depending on the size of the canvas board for their project). Painting students can store their painting materials with the Perth Art Group. Students who already have paints and materials, or who purchase painting materials during the course, are expected to bring them, and use them within the class. This applies to beginners, as well as to returning (re-enrolling) students. Class fees will be refunded if there is a cancellation made by the student before the normal starting day of the course for which the student has enrolled.
They will also work with variables to store and manipulate data, create lists for organising information, and build reusable functions to streamline their code. Children are welcome to move between zones at their own pace or follow themed projects, giving them both structure and freedom to express themselves. For younger children, there’s a dedicated section run by an experienced early years facilitator, offering age-appropriate projects and gentle guidance. They will be guided by our artist teachers to create their own masterpieces in a supportive, warm, friendly environment. The first step in enrolling in our Starter courses for 6-10 year old, is attending one of our FREE trial classes. This allows us to place them in the right level course based on their abilities.
Regular routines and faces are key factors in establishing trust with our little ones. We will check if any spots are left and work out the pro rata fee and send an email reply. If there is a spot, we will provide the enrolment link for you to process and the payment methods. You are welcome to enrol for a paid 2 consecutive week class trial period.
All classes are strictly drop-off only due to child safety laws, unless it is stated that ADULTS WELCOME TO JOIN. This means adults are welcome to participate in the workshop too with their child/ren. Again, adults can only stay where it is stipulated on the Timetable and all adults need to pay too.
School Holiday classes and workshops can range from one, two or three hours, to half day, full day sessions for children from 2-16 years of age. We don’t let the adults have all the fun at Pinot & Picasso. We also love to host art classes for kids at our paint & sip studios. It is designed for one year and consists of four levels (10 lessons per level) and 27 software projects. Students learn the basics of text-based coding using Processing, a simplified version of Java. Students develop a variety of 2D and 3D digital art animations, apps and games.
