This cartoon drawing course will instruct you on how to get started with drawing your own cartoons, helping you develop a range of different techniques. If you struggle with stick-people and haven't picked up a pencil since your school days, never fear- this class is not about virtuoso drawing...
This workshop will be about discovering gesture and colour in the landscape through a mix of quick compositional drawings, monoprint works and mixed media colour studies. Student’s drawings and prints will provide the foundation and direction for a major watercolour, acrylic or oil painting art school for kids on canvas or board. We will look at the compositions of the great masters and examine the colour expression of the Japanese printmakers through to the impressionists and abstract expressionists.... Of course, it can be helpful to learn the basics of fluid art before you get started.

Each workshop will focus on a different aspect of anime drawing moving from head and face to bodies and proportions. Each session will also include instructions on how to draw different famous anime characters. A strict class size limit of 12 students per tutor ensures plenty of one-on-one interaction with each student.

Allow your skills to flourish and your understanding of human connection to deepen as you breathe life into your creations. During the painting part of the course you will be encouraged to develop your own ideas from the drawing phase into a finished painting, either of your own choosing or from a set piece. The class would suit students who already have some experience with painting or drawing and wish to take their portraits to the next level.
Students learn relief printing using lino and wood and basic intaglio techniques using collagraph and dry point. In 1961 Joy Ewart set up the only open access studio for printmakers in Sydney. Today we teach both traditional and experimental printmaking through a variety of classes. Our classes are fun, relaxed, casual, personal and authentic. You'll be either attending by yourself or as part of a small group, enjoying a guided experience designed by an artist. Julie Peadon Art is all about providing, creating and designing fun, fine art experiences.

The program includes traditional and experimental art activities. 8 week term Classe are held after school from 3.30pm - 5pm All materials provided. In this class, students will be introduced to advanced drawing skills such as perspective and foreshortening. It’s perfect for students who are passionate about animation, character design, and cartooning , and who want to hone their visual storytelling abilities. By learning to effectively communicate your ideas through your drawings, you’ll be better equipped to bring your characters and narratives to life!
