Aren\'t things only supposed to happen in 3\'s?
It's not wonder I feel like crap physically after the last year and a half I had. These are the things that happenedI found out my mom contracted Hep-C while in the hospital having surgeryMy mom was diagnosed with thyroid cancerMy grandfather was diagnosed with terminal cancerI lost my job (cant find a new one!)My dog had a spine injury and was paralyzed for a few months before he was able to walk again. He had to get an MRI done and everything! A few months later my dog is diagnosed as having a collapsing trachea. I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's I fall into a deep depression with insomnia. My other grandfather keeps getting into car accidents and falling when he walks. He is on like 15 medications. and now 2 days ago this happened - My grandmother is on 19 medications. The other night she collapsed and hit her head and was unconscious. She was rushed to the hospital and when she came to she didnt recognize anyone she was confused and she kept thinking that her present was her past when my father was still a baby. She even thought her mother was a alive still and was taking care of the kids. They had to tie her to the bed because she was trying to get out of bed. The reason she collapsed was that she had a heart attack and we were terrified that she had brain damage due to the fall or lack of oxygen to brain. Today however she finally started recognizing people. Thank god! I was feeling really down and out because I am sick of all these things happening..I want a break but It hit me today..how blessed I am...My moms Hep-C was caught early on so treatment is an option, my moms cancer was caught early and didnt spread, my grandfather was diagnosed last year and he is still here today he is weak and going to die soon but he is still himself he is a fighter and he isnt in much pain, my dog was able to walk again and with acupuncture once a month we can avoid surgery, my dogs collapsing trachea problem has mellowed out its still there but the meds are working, my grandmothers full memory came back..and she is here with us still....So I need to not be so upset that these things happened but feel blessed in the outcome. Things may be stressful yes and I may feel so tired and depressed but I am blessed and lucky and I have to keep remembering that!

My goodness you have had quite a year!!! It refreshing to see you can have such a good and postive outlook!!! If it were me I would probably need to invest in a counsuler or something! Sounds like you have come to terms with all of the things going on in your life but, I wanted to let you know that if you ever need someone to chat with I\'ll be around. Good luck and keep those positive thoughts folwing. I am really impressed!!!
Oh Jessi..I am trying to stay positive...I feel like I am losing my nerve half the time. I did seek out a therapist but I didn\'t like her. I am studying to be a therapist and I would never diagnose someone within the first 20 minutes of a session!! She did that and I was like UM NO! I need to seek out therapy anyway because to be a therapist it is a good idea to go through the process yourself but Ill be looking for another therapist! I am trying to come to terms with things..I was overly happy when my grandmother started recognizing people because I already was thinking the worse that she will never recognize me again. My mind always goes there...to the worst! Thanks for your support I appreciate it..and vice versa I am here for you if you need to chat as well! I will keep positive thoughts flowing..my bf suggested that I keep a gratitude list daily. Its a good idea..a good way to keep thinking of the positive...Staying positive is hard but man it feels better physically and mentally to stay positive! :) So here is to a day of positive thinking as I study for a midterm I have tomorrow woohoo :)
Hi, lavenderLove,
I just read your post and no wonder you are suffering with thyroid issues and most likely with adrenal fatigue, too. All that has happened is just way too much. My life has been very similar to yours. I have had A LOT happen to me in the last two years and no wonder during that time, my health has declined. But we all have to keep a positive outlook as you do and remember to count our blessings. Have you ever watched the christmas movie with Bing Crosby. Is it called White Christmas? or something like that and Bing tells the woman he likes to count her blessings instead of counting sheep so that she can fall asleep. I think I have to do that, too. Lots of bad things have happened and lots of close calls -- but overall, it has turned out fine, and I hope it contines to get better. Let me know how you\'re doing! :)
