ARE YOU FREAKING SERIOUS???
So I like online support groups. They are helpful sometimes and for certain things. I am able to be anonymous if I want to. But I need to be around people a bit more often. I have realized that my panic attacks get worse and more frequent when I am alone for long periods of time. So I got online to look for some in person type support groups. I am not happy at all. I can't find any in my area. It's as if I am the only one around here that has this mental issue. I am frustrated to tears right now because it makes me feel alone and isolated. All I want to do is get help and all I seem to get is nothing. No one in my family understands what I am going through. No one really seems to care. I try to get my husband to understand and he just gets upset or sad. None of that helps. I need to be around people who get it. People that understand exactly how it feels to have panic attacks or major depressive episodes. I feel so lost.

maybe instead of support groups you just look for groups with people with similar interests. Meetup.com is supposed to be good for that. Even taking a class could help
Maybe try looking into group therapy sessions through a psychologist? Also, like angel said, looking into hobby groups could be a great way to get out and be around people.
If you are feeling really brave, you could take the initiative and set up a meeting yourself. Meet at a public coffee house and see who shows up.
