Appt with surgeon

So my doc called me yesterday and let me know the appt for my surgeon. December 27th! Thank the lord and raise the rafters! If I could have, I would have done the 6 Flags dance! I'm nervous, but can't wait until the appointment. I'm not nervous about the surgery itself, but the pain after is what makes me so nervous. I know it's not gonna be pleasant, but it shouldn't last forever either.

I wish my body would cut me some slack already. After finding the purple monster in my inner left thigh, it decided to start to swell. Then I find I have a large monster in my right rear butt cheek, and it looks a lot like a blood blister does, I was able to get a little junk out of it last night. Then I find I have one popping up in my left butt cheek. All this sucks, but it wouldn't be so bad if it were not for the fact my armpits are going off like miniature bottle rockets.
And my daughter's doctor had her go off the hydroxine she was on for hives and itching, and then she breaks out all over her chest and back, despite taking Benadryl, which knocks her out cold. She had an appt with her therapist yesterday, and due to lack of the mother in law listening, she thought it was a regular GP visit. So when I get back she asks what the doctor had to say, needless to say I was confused and let her know it. She then proceeds to tell me I need to MAKE the doctor do something, that I need to MAKE the doctor force the doctors at the Rheumatology place to get my daughter in like NOW. (that's her shtick...you need to MAKE so and so do this, or you need to MAKE someone do that...she don't get it that you can't MAKE people do shit, if they don't want to..what the hell do I look like..God?!?! And especially dealing with doctors, you can't make them do shit if they don't want to.) When I try to tell her that my daughter is breaking out because of the Rheumy issue (whatever it may be) and that her doctor is doing everything she can to get my daughter in as quickly as she can, I then get told I better hope and pray that something is done soon, before my daughter has something bad happen like going BLIND..Jesus H Christ on a crutch woman...do you ever do ANYTHING but think negative?? No wonder your health is in the shitter like it is..when you think negatively ALL THE TIME it IS going to affect your health at some point...and oh god she is a friggin worry wart...she worries over the smallest shit she has absolutely no control over. But, she's still a liar. Every day I have to look at her I have to hear how "broke" she is, and how bad her financial straights are. I finally told her last night that me and my husband are 10 times more broke than she ever thought to be. I don't have an insurance company giving ME money to live on, I don't have friends sending me checks for $25, $50 or $100. My friends try to help, but they are just as broke as we are..lol..And NONE of my friends like my mother in law or father in law one whit..and I can't say I blame them either.
I've already make up my mind that the next time my in laws buy take out for my daughter (not that I want to take anything from my daughter mind you) and leave my son out....my daughter will be moving..along with all her stuff...right into our hotel room..yes it will be cramped...she will have to sleep on the fold out couch and I will have to sleep with my son...but I will be damned if I let this kind of shit continue. The in laws don't know it yet..but the next time they do that, that is what will happen. You don't buy for one and not the other. Neither one of them have to deal with the hurt feelings of my son when he finds out that they went out and got her special eats and left him out, they don't have to soothe his soul or dry his tears. But should they make that same mistake...it's on like a pot of neck-bones...And to hell with whatever consequences...I'm past the point of caring.
I can't wait for this Sunday..I love Christmas don't get me wrong..It's one of my favorite holidays, right behind Halloween...but this hotel stuff makes it kinda suck, and the sooner the kids can do the Santa thing..the sooner they will have stuff to occupy them.

I am super duper excited about your surgeon appt!! What a great christmas present. as far pain afterwards it wasnt nearly as bed as i had worked myself up for and I thought the everyday HS pain was far worse than the recovery. I will be praying for you.

Thanks Amber, I hope things are going ok for you and the little guy. I\'m opting for the wound vac healing process (I\'m gonna be stubborn about it lol) because I don\'t want to have to deal with secondary pain from skin graft sites, one place with no skin is bad enough. Merry Christmas and Happy New year to you and yours!

Glad u got the surgeon appt. Sorry about the MIL drama. Have u tried something like Claritin or Zyrtec for your daughter? Sometimes they aren\'t as sedating. Best of luck! (Did the rheumy tests show anything?)

She has an elevated RH factor, so far that is all the tests the DR has run, we are still waiting to get in to see a real Rheumatologist, hopefully the doctor can worry them enough that they go ahead and schedule her with an appt.
I\'ll try Claritin or Zyrtec and see how that does..didn\'t even think about that..thanks couggenny!
