Approaching Soon

Well my court date is approaching very soon and for some reason, I am calm.  I have accepted what has happened and I am ready to be divorced.  What I have noticed about myself over the last few weeks is that I no longer "daydream" about my future.  I used to dream about meeting someone new.  I dreamed of finding a new job making more money.  I dreamed of taking trips to places I always wanted to visit.  Now I just focus on what is at hand.  My two sons, our home and graduate school.  I don't know what happened.  I am thinking that my mind has redirected me because what I am doing today is going to determine my future.  I don't know.  I am just ready for this to be over.

You have the right attitude. I wish I could consistently focus on the present. I hope your divorce comes through soon so your next chapter can begin.

That is good news, way to go. It is a good reminder for me to concentrate on the present, everything will work out-somehow and to not worry so much about the future and totally forget the past (marriage). I am glad you have finally accepted what is, I need to do that too. Thanks for sharing and keep your smile on!

Thanks for the support. This has been a long road and I am shocked at how gracefully I have handled all that he has thrown at me. I am almost stoic to his antics and that brings me peace. I am ready for the next chapter to begin and I plan on smiling when I enter and when I exit court. It\'s only fitting to let him know that he tried to break me, but instead I became stronger.

I\'m so proud of you! You have taken the time and effort to work on yourself and it appears it is paying off. It makes me think of that saying \"what doesn\'t kill us makes us stronger.\"
