approaching 3 months from ablation procedure
Will come off of Coumadin next week and change to low dose aspirin. Think the 13th will be the three month anniversary of the procedure (ablation). Even more important I then can legitimately run again (doctor said wait 3 months). Actually I've started running again about a week ago so kind of a moot point. First time in years than I've had a sore muscle from running....shows how obsessive I've been about running consistently. The good news is I started with 30 minutes of running without great problem so I should be able to get back to my usual hour or so runs without great trauma. I know from various blogs/this site that results of ablation are varied and often not long lasting. For the time being I'm being optimistic, hoping it'll last for a long time (NSR) but realistically knowing there's a fair possibility that I'll have to deal with disappointment in this regard. At least I'll know I tried (and might again depending on prognosis of EP). In any case, its been good to go two months longer than I've gone in the last 2 1/2 years without an AFIB event. I had almost forgotten what its like to be "normal". Of course I still have the anxiety which apparently affects lots of us....of course its now the (as I've reported before) "if" rather than the "when" variety of AFIB anxiety. Which I guess is an improvement.....kind of...anyway.
