approaching 1 year
My 18 yr old daughter hasn't been home since Thursday, this is Sunday. Just wanted to document that.I have my parents. I have Mary. I have my sister. I have Darlene. I have my husband. Franki, Zack, Poppy, Atticus... I have support. I'm going to maintain my composure, my dignity, and my perspective. I just am. Anger is not the way, I always feel bad after I give in to anger. I will not shut my daughter out. She has to do what she has to do, and if she has to hate me for a while, well... at least I can be so damn sweet that she feels AWFUL for it later!!! HAR!! That is my EVIL plan! So I just wanted to say that. And that my One Year Mark approaches. It feels like 2 months have passed. How could it be a year?! Seriously?! A year?! It's a strange feeling, for a year to be shrunk down into a two-month feeling... I don't know how I did it. I honestly don't. I must be stronger that I thought. Or I have a lot of support and resources... On Feb 11, 2010, I'm going to celebrate 1 year free of both Alcoholism and Bulimia. I have blown myself away. I can't believe I'm doing this, and what more am I capable of?! What can I do? Today I will book a trip to Florida, to follow a dream I've been cooking up over the past year... Today I will commit. I will manifest, like Mary says. I want it, it's possible, and it's positive. It's creative, and is service, it will help people. Myself included. It's a good thing. There is no downside to it. There is no catch. There is no... reason not to manifest this wonderful thing in my life. It's a gift. Okay, it's not free, but it's attainable. I have to do a little work to attain it, but that's okay, that makes it even more valuable. Today I will book that trip. Today I will.
