APPOINTMENT WITH THE\"UNDERTAKER\"

Monday morning, Spring today, but a very cool and wet morning.   I'm off to see my Rheumatologist (aka the Undertaker) at midday today.  Did my bloods and urine last Monday, so hopefully the results will be with him by the time I get there (sometimes they are not!). I probably shouldn't be so negative about my specialist, he has qualifications coming out of his ears and is well respected and quite forward thinking.  Unfortunately he is completely humourless, has the social skills of a housebrick and  behaves more like someone in the funeral business.  So unlike my GP who is very good humoured and down to earth. One of the reasons I get so down when I visit is the results....always the same...constant low level activity with flares which coincide with my menstrual cycle.  I asked about remission a couple of years ago.  His response "no, I don't think this will happen in your case" offers prednisone (which I always refuse).   Will see what happens today.
