Appointment- only 49 days left
Well Monday was my appointment it went well. They did give me an ultrasound but my poor little man is so squished we didnt get to see much. She tried to take some 3d/4d pictures but you couldnt see anything. She said hes already head down in position. She gave me a couple of regular pictures though a few face shots, a picture of his foot (which is huge) and one of his little peepee (because I didnt get any picture to confirm his gender at my last ultrasound). Thankfully hes still a boy because if not we'd be in big trouble. LoL. I couldnt believe how big he was. His whole body didnt even fit on the screen so really we didnt see much. I enjoyed my 20 week scan alot more because you could actually see everything. I wish they would have let me get a 3d one around 28 weeks or so....at 33 weeks hes just too big. They estimated he is about 5lbs 6ozs. WOW!!!! I hope not because if so and he gains like hes supposed too a 1/2lb a week he'll be one BIG baby. One thing that was really cool was they showed us his stomach and showed us his lungs and stuff and you could see him practicing his breathing. It was sooo cute. His heartrate is down to like 120 something but they said thats fine it usually is in the 120's by birth. I think part of the problem getting pictures during my ultrasound was because I was soooo uncomfortable. Everytime I would lay on my back I would get this sick feeling...I'd get hot and lightheaded and just feel like I was about to passout. I tried to hold out as long as I could but the tech could tell I wasnt doing so great so she'd have me turn on my side. Then I'd have to go back on my back then I feel that way again and have to turn to my side. It was a battle but she got everything she needed to get. The only other time I've ever felt like that I did pass out. So I was kind of worried. When I finally got into talk to the doctor she said thats pretty normal this far into the pregnancy because laying on your back with your belly and baby pushing down causes the oxygen to be cut off and causes the dizziness and sick feeling. After my ultrasound they did a NST (non-stress test) again. This time the little lazy boy wasnt moving. Usually he moves I just dont feel him...this time he just wasnt moving. She had to take this buzzer thing and buzz my belly and let me tell you he did not like that thing one bit. I dont know if you've ever seen one before but its a little thing that buzzes almost like a zap or something, never seen it before. She did it on my arm first to show me it wouldnt hurt the baby then she did it on my belly. As soon as she did it he jumped so hard. I felt soooo bad I know it scared the crap out of him. Now my poor baby is going to be scared of that sound for the rest of his life probably....but it did get him moving. My husbands fatherly instincts must have kicked in because he told me later that it really made him mad and he wanted to slap the woman for scaring his baby. LoL.After my NST I went to see the doctor. A different one of course (never the same one twice). Fortunatly I really liked her. Shes my favorite so far. That brings the count to 3 that I really like, 1 thats in the middle, and 1 that I dont like at all. She said everything with the ultrasound and NST looked good. She explained all the things they look for at this stage such as him arching his spine, opening and closing his fist, flexing his arms and legs, and of course the heartbeat and breathing and she said all the things they look for were there and they all looked great. But she did say since I have a lazy baby that they are going to go ahead and start seeing me once a week now. I also have to start documenting my kick-counts. She said I should feel 4 kicks in 1/2 hour. If I dont I'm supposed to eat something sugary or drink something cold and try again for another 1/2 hour. If I dont feel anything in 1 hour total I'm to go immediatly to the closest hospital and get hooked up to the monitor. Thats about it from my appointment. My baby shower is this Saturday. I cant wait Im so excited. I really hope that the weather holds out for us. Its supposed to snow all week and then flurry on Friday then Sat we arent supposed to get any snow its just supposed to be cold. We've had about 50 RSVP's and if it snows we live kind of far out so no one will show up. That wouldnt be good considering my mom and MIL have put alot of money into getting everything prepared for the shower. Hopefully Sunday we'll be able to figure out what we have and what we need and get his room finished. We have to walls done and his crib put together and we're working on getting his blinds and curtains put up. Well I better let you go. Hope everyone is doing great. Hugs Monica.

That buzzer thing is crazy! I\'m sure it doesn\'t affect the baby in the long run, but I can imagine why you felt a little weird about it. Anyway, glad everything is going well with your little boy. You\'re getting pretty close!
