Anything besides BLAH!

So...I had to say something besides blah!  Just realized how sad that looked on my profile journal.  Not to worry.  I have recovered nicely.  One thing about me, if I'm feeling it, I express it.  I wallow in it.  I whine and mewl (or rant and rave).  That in itself makes it better.  Now, not only my real friends get to hear it, my "cyber friends" do, as well!  Once I've got it out, I'm generally better - sometimes immediately, usually at least by the next day.  I've always been an emotional sort, but I have found the important thing is to keep those emotions flowing like a river (or a creek - wink to Shell7).  That way it doesn't get all dammed up and eating at me from the inside out.  I know from my job this is how anxiety and depression takes hold.  People get the wrong impression there is something WRONG with feeling any way but happy, so they keep it in.  God gives us our emotions to deal with situations, and as we all know, not all situations are happy ones!  Looking very forward to the weekend and an official Audubon sponsored birding trip, nearby!  Seeking the very elusive red cockaded woodpecker (no it's not the one with the red head you see in the tree in your yard - in fact the red is barely visible on only the male...very similar to the Downy WP otherwise) and the Henslow sparrow.  The RCW will be a "life bird" for me, although I think I MAY have seen one far, far away once.  I've seen the Henslow, which is so cute and also very elusive.  We will have to flush one up and follow it where it goes.  I will enjoy watching anyone who has yet to see it - it's exciting.  I know this sounds so Jane Clampet (Beverly Hillbillies) but until you've done it, you just don't know.  After my first Audubon trip, I was hooked!  (And so much better than cigarettes.)  Here in South Arkansas it SNOWED yesterday (sorry, Northerners, it's a magical treat for us) and today it's 70!  The song of Spring is in the air: the chorus frogs by the creek and river bottoms, the Eastern Bluebirds, mockingbirds mimicking every other bird including robins who are already here in FLOCKS!  Daffodils are blooming, grass is growing, and I've got (yep, you guessed it) SPRING FEVER!  I can hardly stand to be couped up in here, when it's so nice out there.  But, reality is, I've got to work.  Glad it's hump day, must get back to it (paperwork neverending...)  All you QUITTERS, keep up the good work!  Reward yourself and feel WELL chuffed.  (Still want to say chuffy.  I'll have to ask my friends when they come over from GBR in April if that's allowed!)
