now is ds going to let me write on here?
its 40 degrees again. it warmed up during the day and i hoped it would stay all warmed up. not so lucky. gorgeous out. sunny and perfect. great lounge on the deck and read weather. very odd day. had to take care of work things that i didn't expect to do.
they are having a raffle at church for a condo full of furniture. wonder if its too late for that? keep watching amb's vigil, life celebration. love it. great music. wish you were here, pink floyd is one of the songs. its all very strange actually. never realized how many people have that name until i watched the vigil. 20 years ago that was a unique name. but its always like that, a name is big for 15 years and then its not. unless its a saint name, those are always "in". in france its a LAW the kids are named for saints as their primary name. i actually like that law.
the number of young people that i know on any level that died, i can count on one hand, both from my own generation and our kid's generation. odd year. one of the guy's from camp alumni's son also died this year on spring break. don't remember how, but same kind of thing, tragic accident. totally unexpected. i said this to e and he says, it comes in 3's. now would that be death or young death? he shrugs.
priced cashmere sweaters as the moths got a hold of my fave with that this year. more than one. so dumb because i have cedar balls for that drawer (they are still in the package. grrrrr).
saw the movie the fountainhead finally at k's for dinner. it was required reading in college. its by ayn rand. i don't think i read it properly. just a quick enough to cover a quiz kind of thing. probably an excerpt.
its about resisting conforming because civilization will try to FORCE you to conform. be true to yourself. is her message. and then portrays, how various evils and evil people in civilization will attempt breaking you down to conform. the guy is an architect. the main book we read of her's was a handmaid's tale. which is oppression of women in a future society, also forced to conform. it was also required reading. she is a cool author. amazing she isn't banned. lol.
have a feeling we or k will be getting robbed shortly. he let alex stay at his house again. hmmm. alex has robbed him at least half a dozen times (probably more) and stashed drugs at his house, got busted, pressed charges and you let him back. that is ASKING for trouble. seriously. its not even funny at all. its sick. if he wants to buy an acre of land and put a trailer on it to help people like that, i actually admire it. but to allow him on your property when your neighbors are actually waiting for you in a group and sending you letters of complaint, is requesting trouble.
put up christmas stuff at house up north. got a very small real tree this year to use at the new house in the front yard when the holidays are over. went to the first of the christmas celebrations (catered by dominoes pizza. i'm serious. lol. we used to eat that crap a lot. probably how the weight piled on for the first time in my life ever. they sell a party thing. would be better off skipping that.) haven't hit the mall yet, but priced stuff on line. macy's has the best sales that i could see. better than tj max as odd as that is. always feels odd in the mall, the old me. i used to hang at malls and worked in malls. lol. omg! i didn't even know people seriously shopped in other places until i started thinking outside the box in my later teens. amazing. on one hand its the mothership and on the other it symbolizes everything i grew to hate. i did a paper on malls and the phenomenon of it being an addiction and why. like its own little bubble. its not a real place. they didn't even expect malls to be a hit at all and they are still here.
put up the wreaths and one string of lights. have a lot more to do. the real tree is old style with jeweled garland of bells. i actually like it.

I like that!
you are quick vin! i just finished posting that. lol. how are you?
Hi 38! Late to this journal. Sorry! Late to everything, actually. This time of year makes me nuts!
i like the old Christmas tree style better too. There\'s too much change and techy stuff going on nowadays. We\'ve completely forgotten the meaning of Christmas. Makes me very sad. I try to keep the birth of Christ up front in my home. We talk about it before we get into \"gala\" mood and rip presents apart and break out the wine!! I\'m no fanatic, but I celebrate Christmas as the birth of Jesus. I raised my daughter that way. We always read the Christmas story from the Bible before we opened presents on Christmas morning. I cherish my parents for that tradition. We still hold to it to this day. Glad I thought about all of this.
Glad you got a nice tree for the house up North! xoxo
this one is so old i\'d say 1900 looking. lol. pretty though. like naturally pretty.
death comes in threes. leeann from ds died. amb died. that\'s two in two months time.
and the prophesy on the robbery. i went to the new house and my toothpaste is missing. i called k and he says, look just assume if anything is missing that alex stole it. alex went to live elsewhere saturday and returned that same afternoon. then he says he\'ll be gone on monday. today. nope. still there. i\'m going to tell k again, get an acre of land NOT near regular people and put a trailer on it and \"help\" these people OVER THERE if you want to. i even admire it. BUT NEVER IN YOUR OWN HOUSE(s). we had this happen with a guy who said he was a student and wasn\'t and he\'s been back since then with other\'s who have that house - they don\'t just stay in your garage, they ALWAYS STEAL!!! its disgusting. that is why people don\'t help thieves and the only good thief is a dead thief.
rn and byn went through it when they helped a homeless guy named ed for two years and then the guy turned around and robbed her house and other houses on the street. we also had this during college in two different cities: in seville, spain two girls and one guy, not students and barging into the classes saying they are students and stealing things from actual students and later on in college in philadelphia some jerk who said he was a student and wasn\'t and stu didn\'t get that the guy was a lying thief, until the guy was sleeping there a few days and neither myself nor craig knew him and stu caught the guy in our rooms. soooooo weird. later on, the guy AND HIS ENTIRE FAMILY a sister and brother and parents robbed the house. that was the divine brothers - the same scenario they had robbed my apartment in montclair and my condo in south florida. they look for people who aren\'t home a lot and use weak links around them to steal keys, make copies of the keys and break in later on. they actually stalk and watch you. and why does this surprise me? i used to work in criminal court i know there is a lot of scum out there. its SICKENING.
and now here we are again. he\'s going to have to get a restraining order. he\'s owed soooo much money by alex as well just from his utility bills in the summer and another couple of hundred from three years ago when all the mayhem started with him. it just goes on and on.
