Anybody ever make a stupid mistake?
color me embarrassed!
This morning I noticed it was quite chilly in my apartment. I called the front desk and said, "I'm not getting any heat!"
When the maintenance man arrived, he found the solution very quickly. He said, "You have your heat turned off!"
DUH.
There is a reason this happened. Yesterday we had a freakishly warm day, in the 60's, and I turned my heat off. I forgot to turn it back on before I went to bed. Today it's back to frigid and sleeting, so natch the apt. was cold!
I felt SO STUPID. He just laughed it off, saying "I wish all my calls were this easy!"

Can\'t think of any right now but I know I have done some similar things. I do remember renting a motel room and my nephew couldn\'t find the toilet paper in the bathroom. We called the desk and asked them to brings us some TP and he came up and showed us that the TP was hidden behind a little slide door beside the toilet. The crazy thing was there was a small sign just above it saying how to open the slide door. We felt a little like a country bumpkin.
Too funny! I am sure I have many to share also. Just the other day hubby and I arrived home, he pulled into the garage and got out of the car. I said \"maybe you should turn the car off\" To this he simply remarked....\"I want it to be warm when we go out tomorrow\" I thought that was a great comeback.
I have done silly things like that too. I had a plumber come out and while he was here I told him my bath tub wasn\'t draining. It was because I had the knob turned up still and hadn\'t turned it back down. So you aren\'t alone!! Hugs GB
easy mistake to make when its march and one day is warm and the other is cold.
yes, i left my medication in the fridge the other day that is supposed to go with me in my purse. very scary. glad i found it had to go straight home because of it. xxoo
Easy mistake. I make too many \" mistakes\" to count.
Ask my hubby or dog!
One I make too often is waving at someone I think I know, but it\'s not then! I act like I\'m fixing my hair, but they know :(.

Oh I hear you... We were at a motel with a kitchen the dishwasher wouldn\'t work I tired daughter did too. Maintenance came up and turned a knob and what do you know the machine clicked and started.
not as dumb as me years ago bleeding a radiator to get the air out and then forgetting about it, till a knock at the door hours later, cause water was squirting out of it.
I have to check the weather station to remember what day it is!

merry, I do that alllll the time lately. I have to actually THINK okay, today is Tuesday or Monday....mostly I get screwed up if my schedule changes, and I have to be at work earlier than planned on one of the days. i get totally thrown off.
