Anybody deal with Safelink ??
I have a government-issued cell phone, very small and not very smart. Doesn't do anything other than what old stupid phones did -- make calls! That's OK, I was grateful to have it, until it came time to do my annual re-certification. I did the procedure 5 times (2 on phone, 3 by mail) and kept receiving "urgent" texts and emails that claimed they need me to re-certify or my service would be cancelled! Talk about frustration! What is wrong with these people?
Then without warning I go to make a call and this harsh, ugly man's voice bellows YOUR PHONE IS DE-ACTIVATED (you miserable worm!) To make a long story short, it took the combined efforts of me and my brother-in-law for WEEKS to get the account straightened out. I am 71 and he is 75. We didn't need this crap!
Anybody else have a horror story about Safelink?

No story about safelink but its certainly happening in all areas where things have become automated.. I have had issues with my banks, credit cards, social security, the veterans administration, its sickening for us older people because we remember when it wasn't like that
.....
.
I wish I could help. I know nothing
Thanks, Aronia. I think the issue is solved, but I won't know for sure until August 1, when I see if my minutes get automatically added (as they are supposed to!)
weirdly, my 'smart' phone will work everywhere else in the country but in my house and nobody can tell me why. they look at me as if I am losing my mind! Only people who have seen it happen believe i t! gremlins!
I am convinced there is a "little man" inside our computers, cell phones, cable TV's etc. who are there specifically to harass and aggravate us.
Tomorrow, August 1, I will see if my Safelink problems are fully resolved. If they are, my minutes will be automatically added. I am hoping!!!! Have had so much crap with those idiots! Don't want a repeat of last month! Thanks for your support, friends.
have you tried just leaving that mess and trying metro. its only $25 per month UNLIMITED EVERYTHING. i have had it for five years and its an ordinary flip phone with texting and camera. love it. they take it out of my account, otherwise its five dollars more. go to metro - "wireless for all".
Thanks, 30 pounds.
