Any day to start, is a good day to start.

Hi to all of you who may come to read this.
I've kept a blog in the past about my experiences relating to what it means to be diagnosed as 'mentally ill', and what it means to live in the shadow of this, yet this would be the first time I've done so in the capacity of a social network of this scale.
I'm sure that there is a lot that can come out of this and today is as good as any other to put this into motion.
As of now, I'm doing fairly well in myself. I still feel quite isolated and somewhat disconnected from my local community and the people around me, but where in the past I would only ever have the energy to escape into a movie - or be despairing over another day and night in bed left alone to painful and disturbing thoughts - I feel a sense of peace within myself and feel comfortable with my own company, regardless of what it is I may come to do or what is going on right now.
In all that has transpired over the years, the realisation I've come to about what helps best and what works well towards any sense of 'recovery' from a debilitating mental health condition, is not what psychiatric medication I happen to be on or how much a diagnosis fits with the sense of how I see myself, but having a genuine and true connection to another fellow human being.
This very simple concept gives way to a manner of all things. Understanding about the nature of who we really are; learning about how we may improve our own lives and contribute to the improvement of others; how we can re-discover what it means to simply enjoy life and have fun with little expense to anyone or anything. We may come to find that we experience ourselves more through witnessing what happens outside ourselves (through the people we see or the environment we are surrounded in) yet we are not that which we come to see - we are that which works together with it.
It is with this, that I hope to continue to learn and grow more from each person I have the enjoyment of meeting and coming to share this connection with. Because we as a people are our greatest gift to each other on some level or another.
If this has to develop more through the use of this technology then so be it.
I wish you all well on your journey and that you can come to see how important you really are to everyone around you.
