Anxiety - how to respond?

I experiencing some anxiety symptoms.  Walking is taking extra effort, can't focus, typing faster than usual, cosncious of breathing - yeah. Deap breath.  I have 3 options. 1) close the bedroom door curl up on the bed and let the attack take over 2) strike up a conversation with my roommate who is right there . . . 3) try to keep myself distracted with computer, puzzles, etc. until it passes. I know why I'm feeling this way too, I just went to the movies.  It was an emotional one, too.  Those always throw me into a state of anxiety.  I took a xanax before I left because I knew this might happen. Now, those three choices . . . which is best?  Talking, if I have the guts.  Sounds like she's in the kitchen.  I could go for a snack.

Talked with roomie - she was on her way out to a party and invited me to come. Chose not to go - being around people wouldn\'t help anxiety.

So - I made brownies, and watched Fiddler on the Roof all snuggled up on the count in two comfy blankets with a cup of tea and a brownie sundae.

Struggled with anxiety some, but not bad.
