anxiety attacks
Been having anxiety attacks in the evening. Trying not to take my meds unless it dosnt go away after 5 or 10 mins. I am trying to keep my mind busy, but it dosnt always work. I try to pray, but it seems to come back. I think of theworst things to happen, then it attacks me. I try to let go but just tense. Just cant get comfortable either. What else ever can I do. I took a shower already today, but just cant relax. I am tire but been making myself sleep longer. Just nervous, but for what?

Hi Angie, sorry i didn\'t get back to you, saw your journal and wanted to stop by. I get that, it\'s called Catastrifising, were you think of the worst thing that can happen first. I learned that from a Therapist. Q- are you on anxiety med\'s daily? If so and you have been on them, it is very dangerous to just stop taking them, not that that is what you are doing, just wondered about that, Ive been told i was very anxious, and i didn\'t even realize it because i live w/ it and sometimes i don\'t even know or think i am anxouis, that\'s just me of course. I am sorry you are having such a hard time. I know the feeling and it\'s not good, Hope you can find some peace at least tonight.
I\'m here for you if you need me or just to talk or vent.
Gentle hug\'s to you my friend xo
Try going to youtube on your iPad, look for meditation for anxiety, put your earbuds in and lie down and listen to the instruction. You can choose anything from ten minutes to an hour. That always helps me. Sometimes it even puts me to sleep!! Hope it helps
Dear Friend: Not sure why you would not take your meds.
If you were a diabetic, would you stop taking your insulin?
There is nothing wrong with taking a med, to help with anxiety attacks. I get them too. I would not be without them, as they do work.
Hugs of comfort.
Try painting or ceramics. It helps take the mind off the anxiety.
