" Another Year and Holidays "

Hello everyone... been a long time.Another year goes by and the days run into each other. I just retired this year and am staying busy. I hope everyone had a good year? It has been 8 years since Penny has passed and it still hurts just like yesterday. I know you "All" know that feeling. Where does the time go? Holidays are upon us and I know they don't mean much to me,I do not have any other children or Family. If you have other children Hug them everyday (if possible)and hold on.It will never take place of our lost loved one but sure would help.I want to Wish All of you a  Very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

No, the holidays are not the same. I do hug my other son whenever I get the chance. I feel compassion for those who lost their only child or all their children. My living son has never married and I mourn too for the grandchildren we will never have. For us Christ has always been the center of Christmas although I would like to purchase toys for little ones that I know.
Sending love and hugs of compassion to you,
Leda

So so sorry - losing my only child, the lonliness creeps in sometimes and it\'s paralyzing.....Holidays are exhausting for me and now it is worse without my daughter - 2nd Christmas without her....I get it.....(((((hugs)))) Vicki

I\'m grateful that you could retire and know you are missing your Penny each and every day. Holidays do take on an entirely new meaning and just trying to be as easy and gentle with whatever comes into my heart seems to help.

This sisterhood here is so very healing and to know that we can land in a soft place and pick right back up again is a blessing.

Loving care and a blessed holiday season filled with peaceful moments,
XO Joanie

So good to hear from you!! I know how sad the holidays seem, without our lost child. It has been four years, since my son Dean died. I am still just trying to survive. The moms on FMO are so awesome, why don\'t you hang around for awhile??? :)
