Another Year .....
First off, Hello to everyone on this Easter day. Hope my letter finds each of you treating yourselves gently.
Wow...eight years today...I have such a hard time wrapping my mind around that one. Tina just turned 16 and got her learners permit, so I told her I would send out a broadcast so everyone can stay off the roads while she is behind the wheel. She laughed, and yes she is still the spitting image of her Mom, my beloved MayLyn.
Hunter will turn 11 next month, he is strikingly handsome and just as smart as MayLyn was, he is in 4th grade, reading at an 11th grade level, his awards this year were Accelerated reader and perfect attendance. Amazing.
And Alexsis, my precious little girl found herself in a not so truly matched marriage this past August, when she found out in September that she was expecting her new husband took off and we have not seen him since. She was crushed but very excited about having this baby, she told me God has a reason for everything he does...I agree mostly, but I worry like a Mom should I guess. BTW...It's a boy, he should be joining us sometime around the second week in May.
Wayne was offered a job at Hollywood Casino in Tunica, doing exactly the same thing there as what he was doing here but for 20K more a year, so he took the job and he is loving it. Especially his paychecks.
We are waiting for his VA to be reinstated and we are loooking at a lovely home for all of us in Southhaven MS, as soon as we receive his Military Jacket and his DD214 we will be able to be together again as a family, but for now, he stays there all week, comes home on his week-ends mostly. We have a really hard time being apart, first time in almost 22 years, but we will make it through becuase the gifts at the end of this tunnel are huge.
I have a job waiting for me, had a wonderful interview and they are patiently waiting for us to get moved so I can start work.
So many curve balls....
Miss all of you terribly and I know I should write more, but the depression is too much for me right now and as I have always done, I take that step back for a spell, regain and rejuve. I read everything on both sites and I am so grateful for each of you. I feel your pain each and every moment, and I always feel your love.
Moms: If I had to sum up our Friendship in ONE word...it would be "Comfort".
MayLyn: Today I cry at the drop of a pin....I miss you terribly...I know that will never change...as the years past I was under the influence that I was getting farther and farther away from you, from us. So I changed the way I look at this...I believe I am getting closer and closer to you not farther away and I so look forward to the time we be together again. I miss you baby girl, and I love you. Love, Mom

Great to hear from you my friend.. I still have my butterfly in my window that you made. May your grandchild have a safe and peaceful journey in May. It sounds like some wonderful things are happening to you.
Ditto. And I too have my butterfly sitting in my kitchen window, where I see it every time I am at the sink. Much love and a big hug, Beth
It is good to hear from you. Glad good things are going on in your life. And you are so right....we will be together again with our babies and that is something we have to look forward to. Now if we could just get thru the in between! Think of you often.......still loving my butterfly too! Congratulations on the new grandbaby to be! Love & Hugs, Kim
