Another xmas come and gone, thank goodness
This was the hardest xmas yet - without mom. It was hard knowing that people were going to spend xmas with their family and friends and I was alone watching videos. A new friend was going to have dinner at a real estate friends house and kinda snubbed me when I saw him xmas eve at the local coffee shop. I can't blame him for wanting a free meal at someone's house. I send out a couple xmas cards and only got one from my cousin who signed the card she sent to me "aunt". The other card was from a woman I hardly knew that I met at the coffeeshop, she gave me the only gift I received - a gift certificate for a meal at the coffeeshop.Like Blanche Dubois from Streetcar Named Desire, "I always depend on the kindness of strangers" but seriously, I need to hope for a better next year.

I\'m so sorry Donna. It must have been incredibly painful to spend Christmas alone. As much as I hate all the hustle and bustle of traveling here and there, I value family. My family, since mom died has been torn apart by a woman who has been controlling dad ever since. We have not all been together as a family since last years\' Christmas. I begged my sisters to go to my Dads\'. It\'s bad enough not having our moms\' let alone not having someone to be with. You are not alone here, Donna. Wish we could all meet and hug one another.
