Another step for me
I brought the pots and pans in tonight. At least some of them. They'd been sitting in the trunk of my car because I hadn't been able to prepare a meal since DH passed back in March of this year. It just didn't seem right.
Now the pots are inside and I'm about to say goodbye to the Lean Cuisines and Stouffer frozen entrees. I'll eat them on occassion, but not everday like I've been doing.
I picked up an interesting habit during my time of not cooking. Everyday I like to find a Panera and have a nice leisurely lunch. I know it's expensive, but I've cut my budget in other areas in order to afford it. It really gets rid of the stress, sitting there, with my Kindle or Nook for company while listening to classical music or smooth jazz. I don't feel alone because there are so many others doing the same thing. Lap tops and books abound. It's healthy too. I always order a salad, mostly without meat.
Today, my day off, I decided to shake things up a bit and have a late lunch at Barnes and Noble. The place was abuzz with book readers, all sitting about in nice, comfy chairs, drinking coffee, or just reading. It felt nice. I ordered a red velvet cake and white tea and took advantage of the free reading from my Nook that is offered there via wifi. I felt like I was on vacation just sitting there without a care in the world.
Another step in the right direction.

I could spend a whole day at Barnes and Noble just getting lost among the books. Yes you are heading in the right direction. Hugs, Donna
