Another Soul Won

Today is Jan. 31st. 2010.  We had 82 today at my little country church.  I preached a message entitled Satan's Deception.  The preaching service had ended and the communion time had ended.  My brother was up making announcements and going over the financial report for Jan.  I was standing in the back of the church to shake hands with the attendees when they leave.  This is something I do every Sunday.   As I stood there, there came a young woman to the back of the church with her small son.  She said I'd like to talk to you about baptism.  I said ok, do you understand baptism.  As we talked, I realized that this lady had not ever accepted Christ, didn't know much about salvation so, I ask her if she had ever been saved.  She said "no"  I asked if she wanted to be, she said yes.  I took my Bible, explained to her about how Jesus died for her, how He paid her sin debt and I ask her if she wanted to pray with me and ask Jesus to save her.  She said "yes " and the tears began to flow.  She prayed with me, tears flowing, and gave her heart and life to Jesus.   As soon as my brother had finished the financial report, I took her by the hand and led her to the altar area and told the congregation what had just happened.  Everyone applauded and she and I again walked to the back of the church so she could be congratulated by the congregation as they left.  My brother, who is a very dry joker said, "Maybe I should read this report again, I had no idea of it's affect". This is soul number 2 won for the Lord in 2010.  Praise the Lord.

I was lost. Really lost. I followed you. Some light shined. right into my soul through the door that popped open to a knock. He came in, threw out all the trash, swept it, lit it up to the darkest corner. Then His two friends set a table, and fed me food that gives true life. He and His dad went away, but the shining one never left, is with me now.
Who can really say when a soul is won, but this Spirit that will never fail me has come. He grafted me into the true vine, pruned away the death from me, and sets me on my feet when I fall. My heart leaps that you have been restored. Grace and Peace to you, Oldbiker. See you when we get there! Amen, Even So, Praise to our Living Way!
