Another Soul for Christ

Today, I was called to fill in for a pastor that was unable to preach at the local nursing home.  After I got home, there was a voicemail on my phone.  It was the future father-in-law of the young man I led to Christ Sunday night, when he came over to ask me to do their wedding.
The voice on my phone, told me who he was and he said I need to talk to you about being saved.  I got my Bible, went directly to his house and sat down with he and his wife.  I had led her to the Lord a couple of months back.  He is 81 years old, and I used to work for him back in the 60's when I was an usher at the local movie theatre. I took my Bible and explained to him how Jesus gave His life for our sins.  How that if we ask Jesus to save us and forgive us of our sins, He will.  I led him in prayer and when we finished, he had tears in his eyes and he said "That feels good."  He put his arm around me and thanked me for leading him to Christ.
This man had been a hard man all his life but, his daughter, his son, his wife and I, have been praying for him and our prayers were answered.  Praise the Lord.
Years ago, I worked for this man, lived next door to this man, drank with this man and rode motorcycles with this man.  He told me a couple of months ago when he visited my church, that it was the first time he had been in church since 1947 when he was in the military.  God is a God of grace, mercy and love.  What an awesome God I serve!!!!!!!!!!!
