ANOTHER MONTH GONE
I just wanted to say hello to everyone here at DS, I have been depressed lately and I don't even know why. I think I just need to figure out some stuff, I need to have a plan for organization, and I just feel like everything is one big mess, even though I know it is not. I am going to set some more goals, I feel like at least when I post them it makes me at least want to do it, I will make them just weekly goals, that way I do not have to look that far ahead. I am going to have a 3 day weekend though, so that is something to look forward too. I will check back in later tonight with everyone, try to catch up on some journals. Hugs to all,Mindy

I know the feelings you are feeling and I agree with EW. There are reasons why we gamble. Our emotions have been quiet for so long while we suffocate them. Then they are released. The flood is overwhelming.
I am coming to understand my addiction slowly too and the reason I feel sad. Happiness for me is a choice every day. I need to choose it sometimes even when I don\'t feel it - I wish you joy and peace today. Thank you for your honesty mindy. Hugs and love Suzi
Hopefully the smaller goals won\'t make you feel so overwhelmed. Try not to worry about everything. Pick something and deal with it till it\'s solved then move on to the next. You\'re in my prayers. Peace and Love. Patty
Hi, good idea having small goals that worked for me too, now I have moved to bigger goals. I hope you feel better soon, tackle one problem at a time and don\'t try to solve everything at once, it is too overwhelming then. You are doing great with your goals, 15 days smoke free, that is awesome. Even better 24 days gamble free, less then a week and you get the trophy for achiebing your goal. Keep it up, hugs Kiran.
I think depression and the \"down time\" I have makes my life seem very sad. I, like Suzi, sometimes have to pick myself up and find happiness. It might be something as simple as a movie or going to buy something inexpensive but nice. I get depressed over thinking about how bad my situation is and I tend to want to eat. I would rather drink but I\'m working on that because I think drinking for me, leads me to slip back into that gambling frame of mind.
For the last three weeks, I have felt like I was fighting in World War II. I have been so busy that I couldn\'t get anything straightened out. I felt like everything was one big mess. It is the ultimate relief to have most of it out of the way. Now that presents me with another problem...boredom. I almost gambled yesterday because I had my BIG MESS pretty much resolved (except for looking for a new job and having a banquet for my golf team.) I have a way to deal with that, but it is a big pitfall for me. I might actually need my life to be a little messy (not that I\'m asking for it to be a BIG MESS, just messy enough to keep me busy.)
Hope that helps, thanks for sharing.
Light up the darkness,
Chris
