Another Monday

Another week has passed. It has been fairly positive.  Despite the weather - which fluctuates from relatively warm (above freezing) to very cold and windy.
So what is positive?
1.  We had some friends over for dinner last evening.  We had a lovely visit and the lemon pie I made turned out yummy.  One may think that this is nothing to rave about but I haven't made a pie in well over a year and that one didn't win any medals.  In fact I have gotten more interested in baking lately.  I always joked that Cevyn had a dud for a granny because I didn't bake cookies.
2.  I have more energy.  I finally organized the drawers in the kitchen.  It is a chore that I have been meaning to do for over a year.  I am very pleased with the spice drawers.  They are now alphabetized!  And I have thrown out spices from 20 years ago!!
3.  Our son is in good spirits these days.  He has been struggling but he is doing much better.
Although I can't get too excited about Christmas, I am glad that I will be near Lisa so that I can go to visit on Christmas eve and put a candle at her grave.
I wish everyone a peaceful week full of love.
Lisa:  I thought of you when I lit candles for the table last evening, and when I put on my socks this morning (it is almost Christmas and we always got socks from you - in our stockings of course).  It will be our 3rd Christmas without you - the first at your newly renovated house - I am not sure how I am going to manage but I will do my best for Cevyn.  I miss you always and love you forever.

These are steps forward and so very meaningful my friend. None of these small things yet very significant on the path of healing. Glad you are beginning to enjoy doing some of these activities once again and hey, I wish you would come and organize my spice rack. I\'ll bet I have spices from the dark ages lurking in mine. LOL!

I appreciate your positive words and I thank you!

Marlene,
Would you come over to my house and kick my behind please? I need to do the very things you are doing. I always appreciate your positive side and it shows me that it still takes a bit of effort from me. Dagnabit!

AWESOME journal! Your positives are so truly positive! Regaining the energy and, in my case, the desire to attack any of those long forgotten projects is a huge step! I had to laugh when I read about your 20 year old spices. While not quite 20 years old, the other day I tossed out some cinnamon and ginger which we had carefully packed and brought to Nevada and back to Seattle ~ both, I finally noticed, had expired before we moved to Nevada!

Sending lots of love and big hopeful hugs ~ Debbie

I am glad for you! Taking an interest again in things is a very positive thing. I remember the first time I felt like watching TV after the wreck. I was alone in my apartment, in my new comfy recliner and thought...why the heck not! It seemed so strange to me, to do something so \"relaxed\"-- after so much shock and unreality.
I am happy for you that your son is doing better and that you will be near dear Lisa at Christmas.
You\'re getting your energy back (YAY!) at a good time, with the holiday upon us! That lemon pie sounds terrific... and Cevyn is very lucky to have such a wonderful granny who makes luscious lemon pies!
Love+Hugs, Donna

I think we can all relate to the ancient spices, I have a few of them myself. Your journal is so positive it made me feel good. Terry
