Another lesson to learn

Well, you just gotta laugh.  Honestly.  Furnace went out again so we used the cooking stove & a couple of portable heaters to stay warm.  Furnace will be looked at today by hubby & then we will decide if we need to call repairman, the same one from 2 wks ago.   However, praise God, the snow is gone and our temps are cold but not freezing and it's not the weekend and it's not the middle of the night.  Now, ain't the Lord good?  He's sure does take care of His children. Son is sick with his asthma flared up again.  Can't seem to get it under control as of late.  So, my day to myself to study will be instead going the the doctor with him as well as my adult daughter who needs a ride.  Again, ain't God good?  Praise the Lord I got a car to get where I need to go. You know, it isn't what life throws at us, it's whether we choose to use a bat or a shovel, figuratively speaking.  Oh, there's somethings you want to use a bat on (furnace) but it isn't wise. So, you use the shovel and just shovel out the irritation you feel instead.  Sometimes, you need the bat to knock some sense into yourself for a bad attitude instead of using a shovel & digging yourself a hole for a pity party.  See, next time life throws something at you, just think for a minute, do I need a bat or a shovel for this job? Oh, and then if life throws you something and a shovel isn't big enough, have enough thought to hit your knees and pray God sends you an end loader! LOL Love & hugs my dear peeps.

I hear you friend. Life can be quite a trip.My reading today was the story of David and Goliath. Maybe we just need a smooth stone and a good aim! With God on our side we can overcome everything!

Hmmm, I have to laugh about the stone as I am writing stories down about my childhood and if it becomes a book that would be great otherwise it will be something for my kids to laugh over when I\'m gone and that can\'t rib me with it. Hugs & love.
