another loss

My brother in law passed away last night. he had been ill in the hospital and they discovered he had a weal heart valve and was having fluid build up around his heart. He also had a fever that they could get to reduce. They decided he was stable enough to replace the valve and went a head with the surgery. He made it through surgery, but never left recovery…..he was 50. My sister in law passed away 2 years ago from pancreatic cancer….she was 52.
Maybe I have survivor's guilt…..I am the one that is sick. I know it has nothing to do with me, but you can't help the way you feel right? I'm not sure how to feel anymore…I guess I'm in a sort of limbo.

I think the feeling of limbo could be your heart & souls way of taking it all in & accepting it.
Unexpected losses like this do indeed feel like our world is being turned upside down. You\'re doing such a wise thing here by voicing it, getting it out of your system. That can start so much healing.
You know, your feelings could indeed be a type of survivors guilt but stop & think of this - the Lord needs you here right now & you are fulfilling his plans for you. He could have amazing things in store for you.
Your loved ones are always as close as your heart & your memories.

i went through that kind of thing since 2007, i stopped counting at 14 i think it was. so many people dying. the more people you know, the more people you will know who die. going to church and discussing it there helps a lot. church fellowship is about my speed nowadays. most people are very nice. its repetitive so i know what is going on and its a greater good, i mostly go to fellowship which collects money for bigger things.

i stopped counting people, then recently i was sent an old wedding photo from 1977, everyone is dead in the photo except two people i think. mind blower. i said this to a friend and he says, that is almost 40 years ago. i had to stop right there, he is right. we are all old and that is why people die. i think my biggest surprise was that it happens fast. in my life, it all started hitting at age 40 and up. but i had always heard that the average age of death was around 70. guess not.

i\'m rambling. good to see you on here brunob. hope you are okay. xxoo
