another great depression is here
Thursday night we attended a Home Owners Ascn meeting. they told us that our association is on the brink of declaring bankruptcy due to all the forclosures. cuz of the forclosures, home owners are not paying their asc dues. therefore they are about to go bankrupt. they let go just about all their staff and grounds keepers, and all the security as well. so we have no more night security. as a result, the crime in our complex is going out of control. i"m not sure if you all know this, but Hawaii has had a very bad drug problem. well, now that we got no security, poeple are drug dealing in broad day light. also at the lower half of our street (near the main road) have been dumping stolen cars and running a chop shop RIGHT THERE IN PLAIN VIEW! good thing i live way up in the back of the road toward the valley. but still, i have to drive thru this area of the street. one of the ladies at the meeting said that if anyone was to report them (call the cops etc) she was told that they would be killed. also that... if the ascn ends up filing for brankrupcy, all the utilities across the complex will be turned off till it resolves. that's just fuckin great! this makes me wonder if i should have bought a house else where... but they were way to expensive to buy... and the affordable ones couldn't accomodate our needs. but somehow... i feel that God is lookin down on me and will pull me thru this one. He always does... Matthew still hasn't been hired... he's been looking since December... no answer. he was expressing his frustrations today with the VA and was very very angry that they are not helping him with treatment for his anger, anxiety, and depression. he's been struggling with this since his deployment to Iraq. the Cymbalta still hasn't taken my bodily pain down, but at least it's reduced my head aches. We'll see how this goes in time... i'm very frustrated... i'm stressed out... the economy is screwing us in every direction. this isn't a recession, it's another GREAT DEPRESSION. all i can say is... PRAY for this nation!

I am 100% in agreement with you. We are going through a similar situation here. We are having a hard time paying the mortgage to the house. We have two drug houses that are across the street from us that we just have to deal with or we could be killed, too. Plus, there\'s one drug dealer that deals right out of his car. My back and knees are hurting all the time and so far everything that I\'ve been prescribed to take hasn\'t done much. I agree when you say we\'re in a Great Depression. My boyfriend is having a hard time finding work and my bestie in PA hasn\'t found a job yet and it\'s been 4 months. It\'s crazy what\'s going on and it\'s sad that everyday we have to wonder what will happen next! It\'s very sad!
That\'s terrible about your association - I hope you stay safe in your neighbourhood. Money problems are hitting everywhere eh?
hang in there...hopefully they\"ll get something together for security...call DOG
I\'m here for ya!! hugzzz
We pray for this nation, and we pray for you too, Bluesun. We hope that soon everything will turn around for you and yours. Your friends, Wally and Colleen
Hi, I live in a condo complex and this is scary. I wonder if the association\'s insurance covers for bankruptcy? We had a management company that stole a of money from us but we still were able to survive, of course with higher fees. See if the insurance covers this and you might want to contact a lawyer for free advice. I am not sure what your recourse could be but there has to be something we hope.
