Another Good Day
I'm feeling pretty good today still. Tired, but good. I didn't have my coffee in the morning, but I did have a nice steak for dinner and stayed in my calorie range. I went for a nice walk/jog for about 30 minutes too, in the rain. I just didn't mind getting wet, it's kinda nice when it's really hot outside. It felt like it was 110 earlier in the day, and then we got the storm coming in and it cooled off considerably to like 85. I don't know for sure since I didn't check the weather, but it was much cooler out there when it was raining, so that's why I went for my walk. What I do is take my mp3 player and walk the verses and run for the choruses. This gives me a bit of time to relax between the jogs and is kinda like HIIT- High Intensity Interval Training, which keeps your body guessing as to what's coming next and is supposed to be really good for losing weight. What I'm going to do is keep up with the verse/chorus thing until I can reverse it- jog the verse and so on. Then I'm going to run the choruses and jog the chorus, and so on until I can run as long as I want. This is my plan to get me to jog my next 5k, and then run the next one after that. I want to get down to 15 minutes a mile again, instead of the 33 minutes a mile I did today. I know I can do it, it's just re-training my body to go faster.
I was reading a post on a message board today and it got me thinking- what is my disorder and what is really me. Who am I on the inside? It's pretty deep stuff and I'm still thinking it over. I know I'm self-confident, happy, fun-loving and loving in general. I may get depressed every now and then, but that's not who I really am. I am a happy person, I know it. I may not smile as much as I should, but I'm working on it. I got a comment from a guy at the health fair yesterday that I was smiling as I was leaving for the first time all day. I didn't notice that I wasn't smiling, I thought I was smiling enough. I was working the registration desk, so it's important for me to be smiling. I guess it's truly one of those "fake it till you make it" kind of things. I know smiling more is important, and can show the true happy person I am on the inside. I'm already self-confident, at 244 pounds I can walk around in a bathing suit and not care what people think. It's my body and I've done the best I could with what I've been given. I'm doing the best I can now, anyway, and should be proud of the weight I've lost. I love to have fun, be the life of the party and go out with friends. I may not have a lot of friends, but the ones I do have are pretty close friends. I don't have a lot of friends on Facebook, but that's because I go and delete people pretty often to clear out my buddy list. I need to do another clearing soon, since I have people I haven't talked to since college in there and I don't plan on talking to them again. I'm just a loving person in general, I love giving people my love, Geo gets my romantic love and giving friendly love to others.
Food was good today, I was in the calorie range for the day. I had chicken and salad for breakfast, spaghetti for lunch and steak and mashed potatoes for dinner. I think I ate really well taste wise today, and it's nice to know I can eat in my calorie range without sacrificing taste. It helps that I love salad. Stress was low again, and I slept well last night. I'm still tired, but I got 13 hours of sleep. I think I'm going to sleep well tonight as well, and maybe go to volunteer tomorrow. I should find out also when I'm going to go visit my mom this week, and go up there and see her. I've missed her, and it will be nice to see her again and help out with her mother in law, Joy, who is really nice. She's brutally honest, but in a good way. A comment she made got me to start losing weight since she pointed out I had gained a bunch since the last time I saw her. Most people would consider that mean, but it was the truth and something I needed to hear. Anyway, that's all for tonight, I need to get ready for bed!
