Another Gone
I received word last night that our former pastor died. Our family is very sad. I had known him for over 23 years & DH even longer than that. He married us, dedicated our children, and even baptized me at the beach. And now he's gone; from us, anyway.
It made it hard to sleep last night. I kept thinking about him. But many of the thoughts were good thoughts, like how he's reunited with his wife & so many of our church members who have gone on before. And how he must be singing loud & clear with the angels now (he had an awesome voice).

I am happy...and sad...The good thing is that his younger son, who lived not far from the nursing home, was there, singing one of his favorite hymns as he passed. Seems appropriate.
