Another funeral of a friend
Monday, I received a call to do a funeral for another friend who died in his sleep. He was 61 years old. I had known this man since he was a freshman in high school. I hadn't seen him for quite a while. I knew his parents and his brother too. It is so tough doing funerals for people you have know for 40 years or so. Last week I done another funeral of a lifelong friend. It just never seems to get easier for me even thoughI have done a lot of funerals.

it has to be hard when you know the person well. sorry for your loss
It seems that funerals are my only social activity since I turned 50. They are hard now and always hav been all my life. My father died of Hodgkin\'s disease when I was 8 yrs., and I guess the funeral really spooked me. I wouldn\'t go to one for a long time. I guess I got by until close family funeral started happening. I prayed for strength the morning of my son\'s funeral, and God granted it. Like Forrest Gump\'s mother said,\"Dying is just part of livin\'.
I have found that since I became a born again christian the way I view funerals has changed. I focus on the hope that could actually await for each and every believer. And for those that didn\'t know I focus on Gods grace and mercy in the moment of ones last breath.....
