Another friend dies

The 73 year old friend of mine, (Pat) that I have spent numerous hours with, the past 4 months, went to be with the Lord last night.  What a present for Mother's Day to get to go to Heaven. She had fought cancer for 6 or 7 years.  Double masectomies, Chemo, radiation, etc. and this time, she just couldn't overcome it.  I s;ent late Sat. night iwith her, her daughter and her sister till about 10:30pm.  I went by yesterday after church and spent some time with her and I knew it wasn't going to be long. I am doing her funeral at 11 am Sat. morning.  It will be a tough one too.  I went to school with her sister and she is a member of my church.   Pat was a member of the Methodist church, here in town.  She was a very classy lady and her husband was a city cop when I was a Biker here.  He gave me a lot of breaks and tried to help me when I was so strung out and in such a mess.  I will miss her. Pat was spiritually ready and physically ready.  She was praying that God would come take her to Heaven.  She had suffered so much but, now, she is a peace for all eternity.
