another dead end
I went to the rheumatologist today. The neurologist wrote in her notes to my GP that she thought the next step would be to see the rheumy. Well, the rheumy told me that just because I have a positive ANA does not mean I have lupus and that the next time the docs ran an ANA to tell them that I have been tested twice now and am negative for lupus. I knew it was going to be a waste of time and money, but a friend of mine said it would still leave a paper trail in the event that I apply for disability. I agreed with that so I went.
After the appointment, took my daughter to the open house at her new school and toured it. She met her teacher and found her classroom. After the open house I was riding in the car with my family. Suddenly my left eye was all a blur. It was like looking under water. Eventually it blackened around my peripheral vision and was like tunnel vision. That went away after around 30 minutes to an hour. I got home and was exhausted so I took a nap.
I am finding that most days my right foot is tingling anymore. It seems to be the norm now. I also notice that I limp favoring my right leg. It kind of drags along. My shoe will wear quickly on that foot now. Maybe when I see the new neuro next month I will get some answers. I am hopeful.
