Another day, more stuff to do,we are getting there

Good morning journal, the time is now 6:26am,I have been awake since 5:20am when Caesar decided to give me a morning cuddle, the problem being that he was still fast asleep, and remained so as I attempted unsuccessfully to wriggle out from under him. Finally, after about five minutes of struggling,I managed to ease him onto the middle of the bed beside my slumbering wife and escape his clutches, all this time he remained asleep, and my last look at him before I went to make a coffee and check for broken ribs confirmed that he hadn't woken up once but was now resting against my wife's back with one huge paw draped protectively over her shoulder. He is a beautiful dog, still a pup at eighteen months and weighing in excess of one hundred pounds,he still has some growing to do,half rottweiler and half American bulldog,we were told he was a Victorian bulldog, but after having done some research he is much too big to be Victorian, but he is virtually identical to the American breed, the breed in America is known as an American bullweiler,he is jet black with the saddest brown eyes you have ever seen and, together with his two sisters, they make up our canine children whom we love unconditionally.Well journal, yesterday I got measured for my wheelchair and sister Reilly told me that I should have my new wheels in about two weeks, perhaps less, the manufacturer has to put it together before delivering it to my door, sort of made to measure just for little old me,way cool no?. This afternoon,I see doctor Butler for my monthly check up,just to confirm that the bits of me that are working are doing exactly that,I can't really afford for any more bits of me to break down,so the monthly service is something that is both vital and reassuring just to make sure I'm still functioning, albeit on reduced power, but still occupying my allotted space on the planet.I have been troubled by very bad dreams in the last twenty four hours or so,Dreams that I wont go into in detail, but they have left me disturbed and unable to shake off the images left in my memory and I find it annoying and frustrating that I can't even escape in my sleep anymore,it leaves me tired and cranky, though I am managing with some effort to remain civil and polite, save for a few moments when I have almost fumbled the ball, but on the whole,I have been able to recover myself and remain in control. My appetite has once again diminished to virtually nothing,I have to force myself to eat the little I do,and most of the time any meals remain half finished or barely touched at all,it makes me feel bad because I know that my wife has taken the time to prepare the food for me and I feel that I'm showing a complete disregard for her efforts and that I'm ungrateful, but she just smiles and says "you've done well tonight hon",no matter if I've eaten one fork full or half a plate, she is a real good woman and I am so very fortunate that she loves me every bit as much as I love her,and I thank God for her every day.Well, that's about it for now journal,I shall keep you posted of any developments as they happen,so,until the next time then, may God continue to bless us as He has done up till now,and may this day be one of peace and harmony in our home.

I enjoy going through your daily chronicles.
I am so glad you are making progress on all fronts, after so much despair.
I know God is with you. Looking forward to the next post.
