Another day..another test scheduled

In the words of Yul Bryner from his immortal role as the King of Siam in "The King and I", my asthma "is a puzzlement". I received a call from the pulmonologist today and they want me to get an MRI or Cat Scan(whatever it's called) on Thursday of my throat and upper aiway. They think that it's possible that something is going on there that is worsening my asthma attacks. At this stage of the game, I'm up for anything.  Today I'm a little less pumped than yesterday. Therefore I have to make strategic forays into life outside  rather than the wholesale charge that I want to make. Maybe this test will disclose something nice and simple to fix. They can look at the results and say "so that's the problem!" and then fix it.  Then I could rejoin the rest of the human race.  Hey, the horse may talk. Wouldn't that be nice. Be well,Tom

Wow...this sounds like the kind of doctor that I would like. Good luck with those tests. Hoping they figure out a better treatment plan for you.

My pulmonologist\'s nurse practitioner has cough variant asthma too. Sometimes I think she takes extra efforts in my case to see if perhaps it might work on her. She and the doc are a good team and she does work hard to help me. Whether motivated by self interest or not, I benefit from her efforts. I don\'t think it will turn up anything, but you never know.

Tom the guinea pig.... :) I don\'t mind being the guinea pig either as long as I\'m getting healthier in the long run.

A Cat Scan of your airways is a good thing to have done. Even if everything turns out normal, that is one more thing to check of the list of possible problems.
