ANOTHER DAY, ANOTHER STEP

Feeling slightly better today, managed to achieve all I set out to do in last journal entry, and did some baking - handy having a written list to keep me on track. Cold and windy day, heavy rain predicted for tonight (we will be warm in front of the fire, with the dogs, reading and watching a movie). I am a bit stiff but managed to pull a few weeds and tidy around some garden beds and oiled the gates (my stepson stayed over last night and left before I got home from my early morning TAFE drop and I discovered the driveway gate was left ajar) only my little dog slipped out, lucky he doesn't go far, and he came running when I went out looking for him.  Glad big Luca didn't follow, he's a gentle boy but people get a bit scared of him and he can be protective of his little friend.  He is also not yet sterilised, we always keep our dogs fenced in, and when they go out with us they are always on a lead, there are lots of folk who are scared of, or don't respond well to dogs (a shame). Plod carved a seahorse out of limestone in class this week, and was allowed to bring it home for me.  His was different to the others, but his lecturer said it was really good.  Funny kid, always has marched to the beat of a different drum.  Maddening and grumpy one minute, sensitive and caring the next. Going to visit my GP today, see if I need antibiotics.  Feel generally "lupie" but I think I have an infection in my gum/jaw and maybe sinuses.  As long as I don't get a "killer headache" I will survive!  GP is a whole lot more human than my rheumatologist, took me ages to find a GP I could connect with when I moved here from the coast over a decade ago.  We are around the same vintage and he's got a really good way about him.  I told him if he drops dead or retires while I'm still his patient I'll be very miffed!
