Another day...another med
I saw my neurologist the other day. She was very reassuring and said that I appeared better than the last time she saw me.Now I don't have to see her again for four months. As a reward for doing well she gave me another prescription(Huh?). I'm glad that I wasn't doing worse. She may have given me even more meds. As it is I'm on so many meds thatI feel like I should just back up to the pharmacy in a flat bed truck and say "fill 'er up". This time the pill is a muscle relaxer/anti anxiety pill. It's kind of funny. The meds I take for asthma can make me tense and anxious so now I have to take a new one to counter act the asthma meds. You have to laugh to keep from crying. Lord knows I don't want to cry. Then they'll put me on an anti depressant.(and it would ruin my macho image...such as it is) As it was I barely avoided those. When the neuro asked me how I felt,I honestly responded that I was tired of all of my health issues. I had to do some MAJOR talking to convince her that it wasn't depression. I just sometimes wished things were better. By no means was I giving up... I was just griping. There is a difference.... I'm going to have to remember to be careful around her. I'm now clear until September, when I see the pulmonologist. Prior to that I have to get chest xrays. I return to the neurologist in November when I am to get another MRI. Ahhh the life of a celebrity. It seems as if everyone wants a picture. On the plus side, the Cards won last night and our local weather remains wonderful. While things could be better, life is still good. Be well,Tom
