Another day, another headache?

Another day, another headache? is not totally true - during the last few weeks I had several basically headache-free days.  And several times I've felt a headache coming but "forgot" about it due to a change in activity, even a few times when I got up to take a medication but got sidetracked before I got to the pills.  That's a new thing and I hope to be seeing more of it and trying to learn what's going on.   The last few nights though I've had unusually bad nighttime headaches and couldn't get much sleep.   A few unpleasant days with a stomach virus and I'm down 5 pounds that I needed to lose.  Wow!  Thanks, kinda. In some ways I'm seeing evidence of food triggers from breakfast sausage and Chinese food.  I have other identified food triggers (peanuts and almonds) but nothing else I could pin down before.  So really, overall, I would call it progress lately. Saturday, most of the day was with two granddaughters.  I guided them with painting several pieces of bedroom furniture that was their mom's 30 years ago.  Yes, I saved it for them.  Soon I may be able to park in my garage!   I've cleaned it up, fixed all the handles, drawers, etc.  So after it's got a few coats of pink paint we can add fairy-tale or floral decals and it goes into their rooms.  These pieces weigh an incredible amount, like (example only) "in case of hurricane hide under your desk".  I'm not young any more.  This will be a "come and get it" to son-in-law deal, while I supervise. And today six children and grandchildren over for dinner.  That's a very normal Sunday for us.  We have to figure out ahead of time what the menu will be so we can shop. Career-wise, I'm sure I didn't get that job.  No problem.  I seriously want to be independent anyhow.  I've been self employed for decades and I've always been successful.  It's just so discouraging that I haven't found a good way to attract new customers.   The right way will come to me, but I may be very discouraged first. And the devil's dictatorship agent known as IRS.   We had a very valid $1800 deduction that was disallowed on one of our recent tax returns because it was filed too late.  So we owed $1800 plus penalties and interest.  As we appealed and disputed the amount rose rapidly to $10000.   Debts accumulate faster with them than any other legal source I know of.  Their smirk answer would be "pay your taxes".  So we reached a finance agreement with them but each month's payment still includes extreme penalties and interest on the balance.  So of course we'll be paying forever.  Get this - The valid but late $1800 deduction will eventually turn into $30000 in payments and interest. One last thing - My mold fearing tenants are moved out now.  They made a real effort and left the place really cleaned up.  So the guy came over for their security deposit today and told me they might consider moving back in if the mold test I'm having done comes back negative.   There's no emoticon for my emotion on this one.
