Another day another dollar

Well, I was told to go on line on Facebook and "like" Comic Con to try to get one day passes.  apparently they are sold out?  Anyway, they also suggested Twitter but I don't do Twitter.  So I put a note out there about the passes.  Two very nice people responded.  1 whack job responded.  And keeps responding.  Why am I letting some little twit who is maybe 20, get my dander up?  Ugh!  If  you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all, right?  i would love to tell this chick off and tell her to get a life, but I would be stooping to her level.  I wish we could "delete" and "ignore" on FB like we can here!  These people are lurking on there 24/7 waiting for the release of 1 day passes to go on sale!  And if I am reading correctly, I am told "Fat Chance" of getting more than 1.  So I basically told my husband to quit dreaming of Comic Con.  (I also saw photos of last year's Comic Con.  Wow!  I am personally glad I am NOT going and also happy David is not going!)  The pictures of these people were SCARY!
Went to a garage fire today.  Some morons stole a car, drove it to an alley and then lit it on fire, causing fire damage to this woman's garage.  Very nice people.  They had no comprehensive coverage on the car inside which sustained heavy fire damage and I had to explain that homeowners coverage excludes motor vehicle damage.  So they have no insurance on the car.
Lost another 1/2 lb last week.  Woo Hoo (dripping with sarcasm!)  1 whole lb in 2 weeks.  but I guess I should look on the bright side and say it is better than gaining.  Still doing Sparkpeople.  If I was being honest with myself, I am not killing myself here either.  but I have pretty much been in the 1400 to 1500 calorie range.  2 thinks I have learned:  1)  validation that my calories range when doing Fitday was in fact on target, 2)  I haven't been getting enough protein.  I did get some ZonePerfect protein bars.  Like 210 calories.  Peanut butter and chocolate, YUM!  Great for on the road and do help me feel full.
Ok:  more names for "Red."  I still like Sir Alec Guinness and calling him Guinness but Paul and David say "no."  Paul and I like "Reggie" but David says "no."  we like "Rudy" but my neighbor's name is Rudy.  You ought to see the 2 page list of names I have!  I drove up to Philly today and I am looking at the billboards for names!  I want to pick a name so I can order him a name tag ASAP so I have it in time.
My mom paid an arm and a leg for training for Max.  Personally, I think she got rooked!  His last class was today.  I think my mom just needs to take him out 30-45 minutes per day on the leash and walk him!  This is what "The Dog Whisperer" says.  This is what the woman on "It's Me or The Dog" says.  I feel bad for her because I think she is doubting herself this time around and I think Max senses her hesitancy and is feeding off that energy.  (Yep.  I watch a lot of "Dog Whisperer.)
David and Paul went at it really bad yesterday.  David has been stuck about this kid he thinks stole his bike frame a year ago.  (LONG STORY).  I basically said to David to let it go.  Just not worth it.  David is threatening to really hurt this kid and he has gotten himself all worked up over this and even destructive.  I think/pray David starts anger management this week with the other counselor.  In the meantime my narcissistic husband tells me he doesn't want David anymore and he can't do this.  he eventually calms down.  I got David to help me cook dinner.  But there is some truth to what Paul is saying (for Paul) in that Paul is giving up.  Not just on David but on life in general.  Things did not turn out the way he wanted, so he gives up.  WTF!!!!!  When does life EVER turn out the way we want/thought?  Why is that a bad thing?  I say this all to him and he looks at me like I have two heads!  I am SO frustrated with the two of them!  Why does the glass have to be perpetually empty?  You know what?  You don't like it?  Get up off your hiny and go fill it!!!  Paul actually blamed me and David at one point as the reason he does not have a job!  I basically said "you don't like it, there's the door."  Needless to say, he is still here.
Poor Kona has been VERY clingy with me, more than usual, these last few days because of the two of them!
Slept ok last night.  Praying I get a good night's sleep again tonight.

You know, I liked this journal entry alot, even if it was not full of \"happy\" news. It really gave me a feel for what is going on with you, and I appreciate that, feels like I am \"visiting\" with you! Sleep well, friend.

One pound is 3500 calories so it \'counts\'!!!

I no longer have \'overweight\' issues but I would not recommend this \'diet\' to anyone LOL

Paul is going through some changes? Perhaps ones that he may not understand or know very well how to work through?

People know when they are not \'wanted\' and it can cause serious issues so I hope it all is resolved for the best over time so healing can take place.

Peace in the home/family is so critical and that may be effecting sleep

\" I did get some ZonePerfect protein bars. Like 210 calories. Peanut butter and chocolate, YUM! Great for on the road and do help me feel full.\"

This seems VERY GOOD.

Kona is feeling the stress and you are comfort and security during all of this.

I like DailyStrength as it is based on giving and receiving \'support\' for all of what we are trying to cope with and heal from. It seems more about seeking \'wellness\' through sharing where as FB seems more social networking to me. DS journals promote a release and way to share, support and find healing or as one of my DS friends terminal with cancer shared with two other people that are also terminal - it is a level of understanding that you simply could not find easily any other way and is there for you 24/7/365. It brings comfort, hope and understanding when we need that in our lives the very most just to survive to make the most of what life we have left.

Sleep well!!!

First 1# in 2 weeks is great! Your scale number is going it the right direction although slowly but going.
Second David...I recall the stolen bike and the police would not do anything...am I right? That might be part of the festering with David. Hopefully you can show David that this other person will more than likely end up in jail/prision so just sit back and watch his life collaspe and enjoy his dismise.
Have you tried to inlist David with some help with Paul. Do you think he might understand that is is not him (David) but Paul that needs the help? I understand it would be a lot for David to deal with but just a thought.
Kona knows you need HUGS and doggie kisses.
Bummer about no coverage on the car in the garage fire. Now I am wondering about our coverage if a tree comes down on the garage.

HUGE HUGS and I send wishes for better days!

The 20 year old twit told me \"I am so annoyed about people coming here and asking stupid questions.\" I responded with \"Get a life.\" now I have all these people on FB on Comic Con site accusing me of being snarky!

JM- You know how much I love doggies kisses from my little girl. She is my joy in life! But I just worry as I see her regressing a little. I have to find something for David to do outside the house. He has been applying for jobs but he is only 14. It is SO hard to sit here and try to work with both of them in the house all day!!! They both need to find something to do.

You need a name for \"Red\" that goes with Kona. So that when you call the two of them, the names work well together. Everytime you suggest a name I mull it over in my head with \"_____, Kona, come!\" and see if it works. You\'ll find a name you love!
I\'m sure you were very kind and sweet with the couple about their car. That definitely helps over someone who coldly tells you you have no coverage. You have that kind and sensitive touch.
