Another day, another breakdown
I was driving over to my job tonight (so as not to get fired) and my car wouldn't turn. Lovely. Figured I must be low on fluid and turned around and headed back to the house. But, there was plenty of fluid. My brother called while I was trying to troubleshoot and suggested maybe my pump went out. No pump training for me (yet!). I went out to make sure I'd actually replaced the dipstick correctly and found out my drive belt was missing. Good and bad - good because a drive belt doesn't cost much and the repair is fairly straightforward. Bad because the last part of slipping the belt on and finishing up is a REAL pain, as I remember.

Oh my god! Car trouble again. My heart goes out to you. Hope you weren\'t late???? If so, what happened?
I used to \'tinker\' with my car now and then. I stopped doing any \'adjustments\' as I would have to call and have the car towed in to then have the work done correctly costing me even more for having \'messed\' with it in the first place. I just had hundreds of dollars in work done and they wanted to do more but I told them the money was used up and what was done would have to suffice. I got the feeling they hear that a lot these days.
I hope it is all fixed soon. I was late for work by fifteen minutes once from car trouble and was chewed out but good. That is when I learned the people I worked for did not live in the \'real world\'.
