Another Butterfly Story
As time goes by, sometimes slowly, sometimes so fast I don't dare blink. I have finally opened the doors to MayLyn's other family, her 2 half sisters that live in Utah. They are both married now and working on their own families. Tiffany and Tyanna, two beautiful girls that look exactly like MayLyn, so much alike it takes my breath away! We talk at least once a month on the phone and we are planning a trip out west this summer to visit them all except for my X husband, he can burn in hell for all I care). I called to talk to Tyanna the other day and her husband John was there and he started a conversation with me about MayLyn and how much he loved her and how much their children loved her and how much they miss her. MayLyn was there with them when she passed away. It was actually their mother that gave the medications to MayLyn that took her life that night. Now you know why it has been so hard to take then into my heart and why it has taken so long for me to open this door.John was rattling on about how he had met my other X husband at MayLyn's service they had in UT before we had her body shipped home, she had only gone there for a visit, if we had had any idea of the outcome of that visit we would have stopped her from going, but I digress, we all know how wrong it is to Monday night quarterback the situation.John works at night building cabinets, in a warehouse. He wears a MP3 plaer to have music at work. He went outside to smoke and set his MP3 player on random. Apparently he played a song for MayLyn at her service from evanensance? I had never heard the song till this week, it's called "My Immortal".John told me that that song kept playing every 2nd or 3rd time while he was outside and he sat down and cried talking to MayMay and telling her how much his family missed her and how much they loved her. I listened and felt his pain, it was great to talk to him and to finally know how special that part of her life was. Then John told me something that blew me away. When he finished smoking and dried up his tears deciding to go back to work for the night, he walked into the warehouse and sitting on his work bench was the biggest purple and black Monarch that he said he had ever seen!He said he starting laughing out loud and thanking MayMay for the visit, but what the heck was she doing up at 11:30 at night?! I almost fell off my bed. John didn't know about all the butterfly experiences that my family have had since MayLyn passed! He associates butterflies with MayLyn too! And so does his whole family! Oh how I cried, and so did John! What a wonderful talk we had! I felt so good afterwards. I shared with John some of the stories about all the butterflies in my life, he was amazed. He told me about some of their stories too. It got me thinking......I am going to write to everyone that knew MayLyn and find out if anyone else associates the butterfly to MayLyn and I am going to put together a book of stories for my grandkids to have when they are growing old and I am long gone.I probably have at least 10 different stories to share from the last 5 years. I want to give them something that will last forever and something that makes them smile when they remember. Most of my close encounters with butterflies have the children involved with them, so it will be memories for them also.I send my love out to all of my friends and Mothers and Fathers, brothers, sisters and families that walk besdie me always.XXXOOOJacqueline PLH MayLyn's Momma
