Another busy day

I was busy thankfully at work today but my boss continues to pick at me.  She wears a frown on her face most of the time now.  I just try and keep smiling and try and focus on my work. Again, I am not going to take on whatever is bothering her, the only thing I can do is do my best.

I started cleaning up the house before Roomie gets home on Friday evening.  He has stacks of mail I went thru and eliminated all the junk, just smaller stacks now.  I am halfway to my move in date.  I hope positive things just happen between now and then.

I have had a hard time sleeping as of late, I think I just have alot on my mind regarding the move and things I need.  This week is moving slowly.

I found a blue chair that I absolutely want to buy.  It actually folds out to a twin bed and would be perfect if brother or friend come from Ft Lauderdale to visit.  I'm hoping I can talk Roomie into picking it up for me when he gets back.

Looking forward I am a bit overwhelmed.  I need everything.  I have a bed..but I need everything else.  It's overwhelming.  Going to try and instacart on Sunday again and hit 200.00 this time.  I only need 10 twenty dollar orders.  I think I can swing that but it's going to take me all day.  Or, I could do 5 on sat and 5 on sun.  I guess I will turn in tonight.  Tommorow will be here soon enough.

Good sleep all:)

We get use to doing the same things day after day so the mind doesn't like change because it doesn't know what to expect but once you settled in, you will be just fine. Do not worry. Don't worry about all the things you need, but maybe make a list but don't dwell on it. Try to stay present as much as you can. That's the only time we can change because that's the only time we have. The past is gone forever and the future hasn't arrived yet..

You are right not to let boss drag you into her drama. She would drag you down with her.

You are doing great! Right on course!....Steady as she goes! :)

I love when time goes slowly. I mean, what’s the rush?
I read something a while ago that I recall often :’ it’s not about how many days we live but how many breaths we take’. The thought being that the more we are aware of our present the longer we actually enjoy our experience. At the end of my evening walk I go by this pond and clearing on a barely used country lane. There are a few telephone poles and I try to see how slowly I can walk by them. I’ve done 10 minutes to one of them and it feels like hours. In those 10 minutes I am hearing birds, the wind in the pines, a fish jumping..... life that I would have been separate from if I had been busy getting somewhere other than where I am.
That’s why I can’t watch tv anymore. The time slips by without me.

I remember when I was in my early 20s, and I was working as a sale person at a store. An elderly customer was chatting with me about our day and I said " I wish the weekend was here." He said to me, "Be careful young lady or you'll wish your life away." I'll never forget that. It left such an impression on me then and even now at 55.

I do get how painful it is when your work day drags, though. I like my work and have too much to do so it seems there's never enough time but every once in a while, I'll have a day when I think, wow, today feels like an eternity!

If you're performing your work, then what's to pick at. Maybe she's just got a lot on her mind that has nothing to do with you. Try not to let that get in your head. You're right to not take on what may be bothering her. Just do quality work. That's all you have control over. I've had bosses where at times, I felt like I couldn't do anything right. Most of that was my own perception vs really how my boss felt about me or my work. It's hard to separate that sometimes.

Keep plugging along. I wonder if once your move is all finalized and you're in your place, you'll feel some relief and you won't have this underlying work anxiety.
