another bad day
I am ashamed to say I am feeling sorry for myself. In the midst of 3 days off (never happens without requesting it). I did very little yesterday and not much planned for today since I have acquired one deuzy of a cold. I spent the holidays with relatives i don't often see...hugs and kisses for everyone (most of which were all getting over flu, sinus infections.....) I did have the makings of the sinus deal going there myself...but now all is brewing.
So tonight is New Year's Eve....my house is a mess, I don't care about munchies, my head is thumping, I just took some cold med so am now going from hacking up a lung to sneezing my brains out....Wait...is slowing things down a bit. I guess there is hope. My friend who i have been chatting with has been a bit distant (so I am feeling a bit isolated there as well) I don't want to bother anybody, but am just feeling so damn miserable and alone right now. I thought if I just throw it all out there...at least it will be off my now aching chest. :(
Now I know.....suck it up Nancy!!! There are alot of people far worse off than me. I should be ashamed of myself. I will try ...no eventually I WILL get past the whining boo hoos.... and think of what is yet to come. (I am in a bit of trouble here too.... as I am not feeling good,it is easy to give in to the worst case scenarios. I need to focus on the good possibilities.....help....)

I’m sorry you’re feeling down today. I’m kind of feeling the same way. 2017 pretty much sucked bad for me, and now I’m afraid of what 2018 May bring. I’m sorry I can’t offer much encouragement, but at least you’re not alone.
If we can't have a pitty party for ourselves, no one else will so don't feel bad about that. I do lots of this. Been sick with that miserable flu so I know how you feel. Sucks big time!!!!!! Take care and rest, drink lots too. Just because others are worse off doesn't mean you can't feel bad. Your feelings are real too. Many hugs and get well soon!
Yes, don't feel bad, We are all here to listen! Cold/Flu really sucks the energy out of you. I've been fortunate haven't had a cold or flu since I moved to the country. Keep hydrated & rest. Wishing you a Healthy, Happy & Prosperous New Year! Hugs! Brooke
Hey hope u feel better soon. It's fine to feel a little sorry for yourself.
I'm sure your friend has been distracted with all the celebrations over the week and will be in touch more in the new year x
Keep positive, hydrated and be kind to yourself.
Take care xxxx
Tune out if you can and turn inward to gentle healing time. Do be aware beyond flu this is a high incident rate of CAP; community acquired pneumonia anymore it’s almost wear the blue or yellow mask to have some layer of protection. GD (the chatty one)! ;-))
In my perfect world, we would all be close enough that we could commiserate together (Minus my freaken germs) Thank you all for the kind words and please do know, while it is not necessarily good, it does help to remind me so many of us may have had a rough year. With all of our backgrounds of needing to know and wanting to be able to control what lies ahead.... we all spend far too much time worrying of everything (some of which we have no control over)
@ Restful, maybe we should not be so worried of the bad that could come and instead focus on the progress we both have made. I think if I break things into steps (as opposed to all or nothing) I will continue forward and feel a slow but steady sense of accomplishment. You have a MAJOR hurdle that you cannot control. Don't let her control and ruin your new path. And do not feel guilty if you need to step back...or cut ties. I think you and your family have alot to look forward to. Smile.... and take a breath (and I will try to do the same..... deal?)
To every last one of you....thank you so much for reaching out. It has so helped me to feel I am not all alone and forgotten. Thank you. Here's to happier New Years FOR ALL OF US. :)
I understand .Keep a stiff upper lip .
You will get through this.
