Annoyed
So it has been 2 weeks since my D&C and I am starting to feel a little better emotionally and physically, but I know I still have a long way to go. I just find it irritating that out of the few people I actually told about the miscarriage only 4 people seem to really even care. They have made an effort to call me and see how I am doing or send flowers in memory of the baby; otherwise NOTHING. I guess I'm not to suprised; I only have brothers and I knew they wouldn't really know how to react (that's why I had my mom tell them). So now I feel why bother saying anything to anyone else....I can just let them figure it out on their own or make them uncomfortable when the finally get around to calling me. It so sad that when we lose other people in our lives like a grandparent, parent, sibling or friend people will at least say they are sorry for you loss, but when you lose a baby before they have a chance to be born no one really seems to care. It makes it so hard not to feel alone going through this.
Just needed to vent.

I think people just assume that after a few weeks we move on. I had a co-worker tell me after my first m/c \"Well you were only 8 weeks along so it\'s no big deal....\"!!!! No big deal for who??? That person never had experienced a m/c and obviously could not relate to my pain. It didn\'t matter if I was 8 minutes, weeks, or months. In my mind I was having a baby and my baby was gone. Most people just don\'t kow what to say in the situation so they ignore it or end up saying something really insensitive. Trust me you are not alone. Sending hugs and prayers your way
P.S. this past Friday was 2 weeks since my d&c as well. I am glad you are starting to feel better. Don\'t over do it and try to take care of yourself. I know easier said than done!
I hear ya! For some reason, some people act like a miscarriage is somehow no big deal. Well, it is very real to those who have suffered one. Our pain and grief is real and raw and will stay with us forever. It may subside, but it will always be a great loss. I do think people don\'t know what to say, especially if they have never experienced one. Hugs.
