Anniversary
Yesterday July 20th, my wife and I celebrated 35 years of marriage. We spent it building a dog pen for my wife's sister, repairing her screen door, and fixing the hinges on her kitchen door. Romantic huh? My wife went and picked up our 12 year old grand-daughter and she spent the night with us. She and my wife are out now shopping. That's scary!!!!!!! We have been through some very difficult times. In that 35 years, I have lost most of my family ahd she has lost her mom and dad. We have endured job losses due to plant closures, we have had financial challenges, and we have both retired now and are spending our time in my church, that I started Pastoring 3 years ago. My dad married us in his living room and my sister and her husband were our witnesses. We are now doing with less than we ever had but, we are enjoying it more Our church families and our family are our lives now. I came here on DS, right after I retired, so I could hopefully be a help and a blessing to others. I hope I have been able to help some along the way.
